While I think that it would have been nice if some more historical information had been included, I believe that this would be a wonderful book to give to upper level beginning readers in order to show them how interesting history can be and value of exploring past time periods.   1. APA 6th ed! I enjoyed this warmhearted tale of a grandfather sharing a glimpse of his Vaudeville performances of yore with his grandchildren. Teach US History using great kids books. This could give the students a chance to reflect on themselves and culture.
